Rubber vs Steel Fuel Lines?

    I would recommend using the SAE 30R9 multi-fuel rated hose for your flexible hose connections.

    Yup, you are right! All my big trucks used rubber hose including my latest-1999 Pete with over 1,000,000 miles, havent changed one yet.
    Steel will crack due to vibration of the diesels.
    I did manage to find a mess of new 1/4" stainless pipe and fittings once at the right price (free, I live in oilfield country!) and changed out my leaky steel lines on my Dodge diesel. I don't reccomend this though as the price of stainless could cost more than the Jeep!!!R)

    If you go with steel lines and are concerned with heat put some hose over the steel line, and\or use exhaust wrap in strategic locations.
