Anyone able to provide pictures of where the governor handle installs on the dash & where the cable comes through on the firewall?

    Thanks,

    H.

Mine (71 single lever) is like fig. T-8. There was already a hole in the dash with a plug in it from the factory. On the fire wall I don't know if the hole is what it was there for, but there was a hole up high just to the left of the carb. that I used.

Howard, I've been looking for the same thing, but I can't find a single photo of one installed. The only schematic in the factory service manual is cryptic at the firewall/dash segment (I think its a cj3b drawing) and every other reference to the governor just shows the governor body itself. Hopefully someone has one installed they can photograph.

Thanks folks but maybe I should be clearer on what Im looking for-

Governors were optional equipment and the control handles aren't shown in any of the FSM or owner's manual dash illustrations. The only actual picture of a control & cable routing in the engine compartment I've found are on the 3A page, & strangely e'nuff it's on a 3A-

    http://www.cj-3a.com/installing_a_novi_engine_governo.htm

The 3A's appear to have had knockouts fore the handle & cable but I haven't found any equivalents on Tonk or the other 5's I've looked at.

I'd like, if possible, to see some pics showing the actual installed location of the dash control & where the cable pops put on the firewall.

    Thanks again,

    H.
