Do you have pictures of the grille? That would help.

Looks like a '69-'71 grille to me, those had large turn signals.

The grill is off a 70 or 71 because of the shape of the blinker holes, although theyv'e been altered a little. The front fenders are also incorrect for a 62 because of the side marker lights. It's possible the whole front end was swaped out do to front end damage.

I don't see a batt box cover on the cowl.

Looks like it could possibly be the 22" radiator to me.

Also I see a wire hanging out the front, presumably to a latch.

'69 to '71 originally held in with 3 screws:

Note the wider radiator box compared to the earlier models, and hood latch:

the wire on the front was there to hold the hood down during transportation no hood latch is ther or even a spot for one just missing hold downs so what i got is a re clipped 62? or a later 70`s?

I'd guess '69-ish frankenjeep judging by the body. Check your frame for VIN numbers to tell for certain, though.

From the angled back rake, it appears that you also have a later (very late 75 on up) sport bar. Every sport bar for the short nose jeeps i've seen is at a 90º angle. No big deal though, If my recollection is correct, there were no "factory installed" sport bars on the earlies, everything was a dealer install. So the term "correct" in this instance has a somewhat broad meaning.

Nice lookin' jeep. Welcome, you're gonna have fun here. I know I do!

Looking at your grille Clint, I wonder if it's not an intermediate grill. Look at the differences in the shape of the holes.

Looks like a Frankenjeep to me too. WS is pre-68 fenders are replacement or post mid-70.

The pic of Clint's shows a '69-'70-'71 style. The radiator "shroud", mount, whatever you want to call it is different than on an Intermediate. The Intermediate has one very similar to the ones on '76 and later. I've got an Intermediate on the '6. The '76 up radiator bolts right up but it (the intermediate) has the same turn signal cutouts that Clints has. The '76 up has different turn signal cutouts and uses different turn signals altogether, although they look very similar.

well from all the numbers i ran it is a 62 Franken jeep thanx for the help.
my next question is will the later 72 and up front blinkers fit as i cant find 69-71 any where. im getting close to having this thing on the road and the only parts i don't have as of yet are the blinkers

The very last light on the page may be the one your looking for. It has the 3 hole layout patteren and looks to be the right size. You might e-mail or call and ask the dia.
