Im going to finally re-do my jeep now that Im not chasing an imaginary post-graduate career. I tried to get some info for a quick fix a few months ago and then vanished, to the guys who were helping me out my apologies, won't happen this time. Im not really sure how different this build will be from others, but I thought I would regret it if I didn't document my first build. Here are a few pics of what I have gotten accomplished so far:v6:

I've got a pretty run of the mill ECJ5, dauntless V6, T90, Dana18 transfercase, 27 in the front and 44 in the rear, and a 2jet carb that has left me in numerous dangerous situations. The frame is in pretty good shape as is the body, although the body will require some cutting and new sheet metal in the next few months. But the main idea is a ground up build of a daily driver with discs on all corners, power steering, fuel injection, and possibly mild engine/head work, finding the remaining parts for my OD, and lots of other doodads to make it stockish stylish. I read the article on why some jeeps lean here's a pic of why this one did...for many many highway miles. I'll have more pics in the next couple weeks after I get the frame powder coated.

I just got the motor lifted out via carpenters pully and oak tree, and I'll be stripping everything else off the frame tomorrow morning. pics should be up in a couple days. In anyones general opinion is there a better lift kit to go with; hardware, install issues, ect. I'm going with 2.5inches.

here is what I got finished today, it's almost ready for the powder coat shop. Do any of you guys know of any problems with powder on the axles or would it be best to put POR-15 on them? Also in the second picture on the side of the frame there is a former piece of metal bolted down, and there are 4 of these guys each close to the shock mounts. Any ideas on what they were...

It seemed like they served a purpose but they were so rusty and mangled I had no idea what they were, thanks
