just bought this old cj5. guy says motor was swapped. is this the 225. it has a 4sp. t18? and single stick transfer case. price was right ($150) but snow so deep i couldn't get a good look at it bought it mainly for tires for my cj2a but could use the rest if its what i think it is. might even rebuild the jeep if the frames solid thanks

Flanged rear too it looks like! Unless it's got a D20 then it has to have it and centered. Cool!

Ya you got a steel, flanged 44, t-18 4 speed and a v6, plus a really nice uncut dash and nice 16" wheels. Sweet!

thanks, was going to buy it just for the tires/wheels, untill i saw what motor/tranny was swapped in. havent seen it in person yet so not sure on axle. if it is centered i'll swap the entire running gear into my 73. i like the dash too. wasnt sure if it was a 225 since it's been quite awhile since i've seen one. guessing on the T18 too. just assuming with the v6 and 4 speed thats what it will be. thanks again

went and looked at this in preperation to dragging it home. its a 71.no t18 po was counting reverse as a gear hence 4 sp lmao. it has the 3sp and single stick d18 w/offset rear diff. motor shows 50k on odom. and is the original motor. frame has a couple holes. maybe parting her out . rear axle is already sold. as stated i got er for the tires and wheels
