Great job! I really like how you used a T400 pan and an oil pan from something else for your sheetmetal. Looks really clean.

Excellent - gives a good overview of what's needed besides just connecting the trans to transfer case.

Hey Scott, up until 2 mins ago, I thought I had an SM420 but based on all the pics/info, I have a SM465. Don't know what's better but don't know why I should care. It is out of my old 68 chevy 4x4 pick up as is the T221 Tcase. Anyhow, I need a bellhousing for mine to adapt to my 225. Is there such a thing?

Here is a post that shows a picture. Keep in mind the bearing retainer hole is bigger than the common Chevy bellhousing.

I have a pic of the AA custom bell that I used for my SM465 to 225 on my Home Page. For me, I wanted to keep the original BH for another engine I have that would probably end up mated to a T90 so it was worth getting the AA BH with the other parts I bought.

I did this conversion on my 71' and the adapter was built in so I had to get a new BH. I used a standard BOP bell housing and had a friend machine it for me. Good info here though:
