Fan Blade Clearance

    Only have a fraction if an inch between blades & steering box. I'm sure that if their is any engine movement they are gonna hit:( Was thinking of trimmings the corner of of each of the five fan blades & mayber making a slight notch on the steering box. But I'm worried that the blade might not be in balance then & I'm not to kean on notching the steering box. Anybody done this :? Or should I consider an electric fan or a fan with a smaller circumference

    you can switch to a 15" fan or do what i did and put a 14" hayden electric pusher fan in front of the rad.It's nice to work under the hood without a fan spinning in your face.My stock fan did hit the steering box a few times and eventually started to crack one blade, not good.
