I went and looked at this jeep today. I was disappointed when I got there to see that the jeep had been painted with a brush. I asked the seller about it and he said the old paint looked oxidized, which is what I would have preferred to see, so he and his wife decided to paint it. It does have 76k miles, has been in a barn for 13 years, has hydraulic snowplow. frame is in decent shape body has been patched and I think this is the true reason for the paint job. What do you think it is worth. He is asking $2000. Also should add that the jeep is located in Indiana. Runs and drives, even the hydraulics on the plow work great, let me know if I am missing anything else.

Hard top is in decent shape. Drivers side door glass is gone and is plexiglass, driverside rear window is cracked.

Without more picts it's hard to tell but it sounds like an OK deal. hard top looks to be in good shape, no broken glass. You said it runs good. I assume you drove it. 4WD works good? If the body is rusty enough to cover with brush paint, my guess is it's not too rusty. Can't paint holes. Id buy it expecting to sand it all down and do the body right. you can also see rust from the inside of the tub if there is any more than just surface rust. I'd check for bondo. Look at the floor boards and under the seats.

But for 2K, wtih a title, I'd buy it..............

If you pass, I could make a trip up. Wonder if the wife would notice another jeep? Hum....

I'd be wary of a CJ with a plow. Plowing can be really hard on a lightweight vehicle like that.

Do you really want the plow? I'd offer $1000 minus the plow, as long as the rest of the Jeep isn't rusty. $2000 is a lot of money for a car like that here in MA.

It is nice to hear you say that. I was thinking the exact same thing. I thought it was worth anywhere from 900-1000 and I was going to tell him to keep the plow. Thank you all for your input.

Look for frame damage from plowing, there is a lot of stress on the front of the frame just behind where the plow frame attaches.

Thanks for the input. After checking it over again the body rust was too much and I was definatly worried about what the plow might have done to the frame that I couldn't see.
