It's not the large flat one behind the pump that the pump that the pump actually bolts to, and adjusts, it is actually the long skinny one that is right in front of it (I think).

It is broken on both ends. I actually saw this quite some time ago, and when i went to remove it, it didn't seem that it was a very load bearing part, but now that I have my p/s pump out for replacement, I would like to fix this issue...BUT I CAN'T FIND THE DAMN THING! Oh, and i'm not a welder-but I don't think the peice could be welded..?

Does anyone have a lead on this for me?

I'll upload a couple pics of it later.

I found this link on a p/s pump and bracket on ebay, you can see the long skinny bracket in front of the back one here:

Maybe take one from a Wagoneer? There are a few of those around in the yards here. They were made until '91, and almost all have the 360 and PS.

Isn't that part of the mount for the air pump?

I got mine from a 1980 Jeep Wagoneer with a 360 engine when I converted my 1973 CJ5 to P/S. It fit perfectly.

    air pump?

NO clue. it is broken on both sides, right next to the bolts. i did not get a chance to take pics of it. As i said, i found it like that after i'd been running on it for some time. i don't think anything i did or could have done could have broken it. and when i began to remove it, it did not seem that it was very load bearing. it was kinda just wedged in place. the large mount on the back is solid, it never caused a problem being broken, i just don't really want to put a broken part back on. seems damn foolish.

Rich, i'll look a bit more about finding one around, that won't cost me $50 on ebay (though thank you for pointing it out as it is the right part). i take it you have some type of welder that does any type of metal? i don't know welding at all, but i think it is cast and thought that could not be welded? anyway, i may be getting back to you regarding it.

They're usually cast aluminum. Those are the ones' that I can repair. If it's cast iron, or steel ( it'll be magnetic ), there's no guarantees...

I've got an extra laying in the shop. It came off a wagoneer. You should be able to find one in the wrecking yard fairly cheap. If not let me know, you can have this one for shipping. Walt
