I give....where does this go?

    I got a lot of my '62 CJ5 in boxes. It obviously looks like a skid plate of some kind, but I can't figure out where it goes. Any suggestions?

    The PO converted over to a Dauntless V6, but I still have the Spicer case and T90. Since the motor was out, does it go under the pan/starter somewhere?

    Thanks!...I've done a number of classic cars, but this is the first trip into the 4x4 world. This site has been an incredible help thus far!

    That's the factory fuel filter heat shield from the :v6:.Goes on the right front of the motor.

    I can't remember exactly how it goes on mine since I didn't reuse it. It goes on the v6 engine. It is a heat shield for the fuel pump and filter on the drivers side of the v6 motor.

    Wow...thanks, but...

    I'm not sure where it bolts up to. I have the motor out on a stand (just got done rebuilding it), but can't see a logical place where it bolts.

    Just checked. Nope...it won't fit into the empty head bolt. I think it needs to go underneath, but I can't find a place that makes sense!

    Since it'll be a "street/dirt road" jeep...I may leave it off. Hmmm...

    I can take a pic of mine... I don't have the filter there anymore, but the shield is. (I think it's still there)
