F134 or V6 with 33" tires?

    WE continue to have overheating problems in the #4 piston in my F134. The machine shop is suggesting we not spend any more time or money on this motor and look for a V6. My question is related to driveability of the F134 with 33" tires. Should I just look for the V6 or spend more time on the F1434, Any feedback?

    You should be able to turn 33's with the fhead and 538 gears.

    Billy just got 34's for his fhead right Bill?

    I had 33s with my L head, and it wasnt the peppiest fastest, but was fine, and offroad in lowrange, it worked fine for me...Of course now I like my V6 better.

    F-head and 33s' on my CJs. Work fine for me. I'm stumped on your troubles. Still the same thing happening?

    Thanks for your help. I bought the 67 from bob-n yesterday with the 225V6 and the TH 350 auto Trans. Hope to begin the swap in the next couple of weeks
