I'm in the process of restoring a 1959 CJ5 and need some help with the heater (I think it's the stock heater). I've searched on here a bunch, but only seem to find info about upgrading the heater. Anyways, it's mounted to the driver's side firewall, part behind the dash and part in the engine bay. The coolant hoses that should run to the motor aren't going to anything. Where on the motor are these supposed to be hooked up to (picture would be helpful)? It also looks like it's supposed to pull air in from right in front of the radiator, but that ducting is gone. Is there any mounting stuff for that ducting that I should get? I just can't seem to find much for details on how this actually should be set up in there.

I'm trying to figure out why it was messed with in the first place, but then again when I pulled it out of a barn bailing wire and twine held it together and there was a piece of 120 house wiring (coax) running straight from the starter solenoid through the firewall with loose ends hanging down....

One hooks to the water pump on the 225v6 and the other hooks to the top back right side of the intake manifold it depends on the motor you have?

That's extremely helpful info on the stock heater and trying to figure out the correct cable and wiring stuff, thank you. My controls look a little different though- just three push/pull knobs mounted under the ignition. Anyone have a description/picture of where on the motor the hoses connect to? I'm in the process of scraping 49 years worth of oil/grease/haydust off the motor and having an idea of where I'm looking for fittings is helpful
