    Are there any differences in the frames of a '66 CJ5 vs. a '70 CJ5?

    My frame is '66 is cracked in half and I found a frame nearby that is sold but is from a '70. I am wondering if it wouldn't be better just to buy the new frame rather than repair the old one. Do the frames have serial numbers?

    Is the orgional frame broken beyond a welding job? Lots of work to swap frames.........

    In some states it could turn your '66 into a '70's model, since the VIN is on the frame. Check with your DMV.
