Rally Tops is currently working on a prototype to start production on a fiberglass CJ5 Top!

They are working on 1976 and later to begin with. I emailled the other day asking about us early guys. His reply was to ask me if I was in the Los Angeles area - I assume that he was looking for an early model to fit a prototype to. Anyway, if we get several people emailling, Jerry@rallytops.com looking for an early top, it could speed up the development time and get these to market sooner.

I know I'd like to have one.....let's email this guy and get production started.

See prototype currently in process at http://www.rallytops.com/jeep/cj5.html

    Thanks,

I had a fiberglass hardtop on my '77 years ago,, ACME was the maker I believe. This top looks very similar, I like the door options though.

In the blog you can read that is an ACME. Looks like they are just reverse engineering it.

I'm not a hardtop kinda guy, but I'm glad to see the support.

Good to see someone putting effort into making stuff for CJ-5's. I just wish someone would make a production run of the Whitco top that came on late CJ-5's.

That would be great. I wouldn't want one so bad if it wasn't for my wife. Maybe she'd ride in the CJ5 more often with one. I have an old metal (Koenig, I think...) top I bought cheap, in good shape, but the old man did not have the doors. (He did, but kept them for another CJ he later sold:evil:). I just need the metal doors. I have a feeling the CJ5 top for our 75 and older CJ5's will be a bit expensive.

Rally Tops has finished development and is currently taking orders for fiberglass CJ5 tops! Currently only newer model (76 and up) but he is looking for someone in the Los Angeles area with an old model to use for prototype. www.rallytops.com
