engine won't fire in my c8 CJ5

    My jeep was running very well. I washed it on Friday, drove to the gas station next door, filled up, and then the engine died. It will turn, but won't start. I did start one other time but only ran for about 5 seconds. Does anyone know what I might look for.

    I would start with the distributor, check for water/moisture in it and the plug wires, don't forget the plug wire from the coil to the distributor. Then the coil and the ignition either the points or electronic.
    Make sure the ignition gets power.

    Yup, try spraying WD40 on the distributor cap, coil, etc. or give it some time to dry out.
