    Hello,
after three head gasket changes new head bolts seal in the bolts and master how to torque the bolts i have the same failure.
the engine works good and have around 150 psi in all four cylinders. When i try to start th engine white smoke from the exhaust comes.its for about 2-3 secs and then everything ok.on the previous headgasket changes i found water in the first and second cylinder. So,im thinking i have somewhere a crack. Is there a method to find it myshelf?Because i talked to 3 machine shops and they told me to bring the engine to them to examine it.I'm searching to find one method to look at the crack with the engine in the car.

    Thank you
    George

In the past I've heard about a kind of dye you add to the coolent that shows up under a black light. Just a thought.

Doesn't coolant fluoresce normally without dye being added to it?
