    I'm going to finish my front bumper next week and I'm wondering if grade 5 bolts will work to bolt it on or should I spring for grade 8? Would it really matter? Any input would be appreciated:)

    I used grade eights for my bumpers and do so for most anything that will have a load or stress on it. I have heard the debate that fives will bend and eights will break but I've bent a whole bunch of eights without too many breaks. This has usually happened when attempting to put too many race cars into the same small space at the same time. :D monkeys

    whenever i have to buy bolts for somthing (usually i dont because i have a huge bin of them) I get grade 8 reguardless of use. There a few pennies more but you dont have to worry about them as much and you know you got the best you could

    You're right Scott.....5's should be plenty strong, and I already have them. I guess if I need to buy any, I'll buy 8's but otherwise I'll use the 5's. Thanks for the help!
