I'm down to limited options if I want to install a lift bracket on my F134. I ordered a military lift brackets from Midwest Military and the longer 4-5/8 head bolts are not available.

Talking to different people, some say you can get away with using a couple regular grade 8 bolts and some say you can't.

    Anyone been down this road?

    Thanks.

Go for the grade 8, you won't have any problems. I have them on 3 different engines.

I have been down this road twice.
I ordered some new head bolts from Krage and they sent me grade 8 bolts. Was told head bolts for 134's are no longer avalible. On the second one I used studs with hardened washers.
I made the studs on a Lathe using grade 8 bolts.
10,000 miles later they are working just fine.
