Anyone running one with the stock 2-bbl? If so, what brand and how did you build the carb to air cleaner housing adapter? I've got the stock dry filter housing in place now, but want to clean-up the engine bay appearance... TIA!!

If you look in the dress up/chrome area of your local FLAPS Spectre has a smaller open filter for the 2 barrel carbs (6" I think), not very expensive, I had one for years, worked fine for me. No adapters needed, just wind nut it down and use it. My Checker Auto here in NM also sells the replacement filters for like 4 bucks I think.

Thanks, guys. No joy at my FLAPS, but the Speedway unit looks promising. I was thinking of using an old air filter housing that I could cut the bottom out of and rivit to a new housing; might be too "ghetto" looking though. I'd like to use about a 14"x3" air filter...

Here is a 14x3 setup on my 225 v-6,the adapter was made from a funnel.I bought this a long time ago,I think its a "Mr Gasket" brand.

Mine has the three inch air filter and it works well. Aftermarket at NAPA.
