Do you recognize this solenoid?

Replacing the solenoid on my 46, which had been converted to 12v LONG before I got ahold of it, and I can't find any markings on it whatsoever. Is this a recognizable solenoid to anyone? Or will any old 12v solenoid do? I searched all over this place and couldn't find another one like it.

    Thanks in advance!

I have seen that type before. Look in the Standard Products PN lookup at ss-604. http://www.standardbrand.com/ I found it in the Marine Products catalog.

Nothing special about it - it's just a solenoid. Don't know what the extra terminal is for though.
On second though, you probably have the "S" connection (to the starter switch) and the "I" connection (for the ignition). "S" energizes the solenoid and "I" provides a full 12V to the coil when starting. Make sure the base is grounded well, since the circuit to energize the solenoid coil requires it.

Also be aware that some four term solenoids require both a supply and a ground to the two small terminals. Some of them had the primary (pull or latch) windings insulated from the metal base plate.

Looks like the heavy duty version to me. I have one that style on our International with the DT466 diesel. I bought a replacement through NAPA. I believe Timgr is correct that it is a Standard Products unit.
