231 manifold on 225?

I was at a Jeep show this past weekend and picked up an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold with a Holley 4 barrel mounted on top. The carb needs a couple parts but no problem, it was a decent price for it all.

Upon further research when I got home on Edelbrocks website I saw that this manifold was for a 231 even fire and not the 225 odd fire. I looked in the tech library and saw one thing that mentioned that it still may work but using a 225 gasket with the 231 manifold. I thought and read that they were only interchangeable up to 78, Edelbrock also states this about the same manifold that I have(I checked part #'s).

This is for my 47 CJ2a with t e 225. Well, if it won't work I guess I will have a manifold to sell. So can anyone tell me if it is possible to use this setup? :v6: thanks
