Well finally I have some updates for this post. Here are some pics of what Iv been doing lately. A few new things and a few things changed.

Got my drive shafts from DSI. Had a few problems with getting the right flanges but all is well now.

Shafts are in and all fits well now. I did have some problems with axle wrap. My new rear drive shaft was bottoming out on acceleration and deceleration. Here are some pics of the traction bar I had to build.

Once that was finished I set up a limiting strap in the center of the diff to stop the shaft from binding on full droop.

I also got the exhaust done. It was so treble before. The guy who did it before had these nasty sounding mufflers and the pipes came through the leaf springs. Now its a lot quieter.

Once all that was done I started into my dash.

Theres not much done in these pics. I'm almost done the dash Ill post some pics when its finished.
I also took some advise and got rid of the bling.

Its a GM tilt column. When you tilt the wheel down its great.

Looking good! I think that's the first dome light I've seen under a vehicle, very practical. You could increase your ground clearance under the rear end by putting the ubolts the other way, of course then you have no shock mounts. I made new one out of square tube welded to the housing.
We have vehicle inspections here, so my exhaust has to have a tailpipe.

Ya we have inspections here too. Its fine till I sell it. Then the next guy will have to fix it. I could have fliped the ubolts but this was easy. I just reused the toyota plates. I may change it later on.

I know I am bringing back a dead thread and do apologize, but was wondering how that toyota front axle has held up to that v8 and tire size?
