    I realize that before i get out there on any difficult trails it might be smart to install an emergency brake on my 66 CJ5. I do not an e-brake currently in any shape or form. What type of e-brake should I install? where is the best place to find the parts? and where can I find some good instruction on how to install it? any help is greatly appreciated.

    The original setup parts are avail used on ebay from time to time, I like the hill holding power of 4 wheels versus 2, with a modern rear axle setup.

    You can upgrade to 11" brakes on the rear end and use the factory ebrake setup out of a later model jeep. Here's a great start;

    Buy these and load'em up with hardware from a '72-75 CJ5

    Whew! $200 bin for just the backing plates? For about another $100 you can buy a complete set up with all new parts including drums from R&P. They can be reached at 503-557-8911.
