Does anyone know if the repro '76 and up CJ5 battery trays will work in a 75? Does anyone sell repro battery trays for a 75?

    Yep, its the same.
At least in my '73 with a glass body.
Besides, you'll never find one for a 75, so thats your only option.
I bought mine new on ebay, they're all over the place. The original trays all rust away so they are a very common replacement, I'm sure you could find it chromed if you wanted :) .

I've looked at the pictures and compared it with my '75 battery box, and it's not exactly the same. The battery clamp goes across the width rather than the length of the battery, and there may be some differences in the way it mounts to the body. I'm sure you could make it work if you have the whole assembly though.

No source for the '72-75 tray AFAIK, other than a wreck.

The top straps for the box will mount to the tub, but the bottom mount will end up about 1" from being able to mount solidly to the tub. Make a spacer for the bottom or cut and weld the top straps and it should be fine. I plan on just makeing the spacer for the bottom.
