Bought one a couple of weeks ago. Meanwhile I had been following the thread about other's speedo problems. The input shaft was very long on this thing so I took it out and inserted it in the speedo port on the TC and slowly pushed the jeep forward to see if it would catch on anything. It did, so I backed it out until it stopped (about 3/4" inserted). I cut it back to where only about a half inch would insert into the port.

The new routing of the speedo cable has no sharp bends and routes up the tranny tunnel and straight into the speedo using the old choke cable hole (I don't use a choke anymore). The grease zert allows lubing the cable and everything runs nice and smooth now. I'm quite happy. Here's some pics.

Said screw it, ordered one of the right angle adapters, printed the directions found in history on how to take apart and clean/rebuild speedo cluster. Now I have a dinner table project for next weekend, with the speedo. Do the cable part at work on a alignment lift with stationary testing ability.

Rocky - how far does that stick out? I put my new Xmember for the SM465 in the wrong spot and now can not get the electric sender installed or I have to move the new mount.

Maybe 2". It doesn't clear the side of the TC, but it does provide enough of an angle to get a much smoother bend. The input shaft is way long, I cut off ~3/4".:v6:

Thanks - Let me know when you get it Eric, I would rather do that than reposition the tranny/tcase mount to get my spedo hooked up.
