Will they fit? I got my BDS lift in still waiting on shackles (should give me 3" total) and want to start but was wondering if I can sit the jeep back down on 35's for now? No offroading, might not even drive it like that.

You will probably have enough room in front with 2.5 inch lift, in the rear it might be pretty close. With my 2.5 inch lift, I am sure I would have room in front up and down wise. Turning the wheel, not so sure.

Try it and see. Put them on and turn the wheel lock to lock. I'm sure there would be a good deal of rubbing off road, but might not be too bad on road.

    Good luck

They will fit but make sure you extend your bumpstops. Otherwise you will be hitting your fender tops all the time with the tires. And you probably will have to trim the rear fenders to keep the tires out of them but you may get lucky.

BTW: My avatar is 35" on 4.5" lift springs with lots of fender trimming on all 4 corners.

I just dont have tires and rims to put on it right now. I plan on getting 33's for it.

33s are a good idea. 35s will probably rub offroad and will be a little harder on your axles. If you don't mind doin some fender trimming 35s would work fine. One piece axle conv. is also a good upgrade if you plan on runnin 35s. all depends on how you use the skinny pedal.

if you really wanted to keep 35's with that lift you could put tube fenders on the front and TJ flares on the rear, run the correct lenght bump stops and you'd be good.

but for your set up, i agree that 33's are prolly the smartest way to go

what lift is on your jeep there? besides 35's (i'm guessing), plus the tube fenders and tj flares, what springs are on there? and also, do you have wheel spacers?

    thanks.

I agree with this statement, except for the bold type. A 74 should have a d44 flanged rear axle, which is more than strong enough for 35's under a cj. If for some reason someone has swapped in an AMC 20 then yes, a one piece upgrade is in order. If you are going to run 35's I would strongly caution against adding any sort of locker in the front diff.
