A friend advises me not to reuse my flywheel bolts. Im reassembling a fresh 360 and planning on reusing the bolts. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Never heard any reason not to. I always have and don't know anybody that didn't, unless they got lost. Some vehicles you have to use new head bolts but never heard about flywheel bolts.

For the price of a new set, I'd go with new bolts, especially behind a big V8 like a 360.
I have heard that they stretch with use and that is why you should replace them. I suspect another concern is that flywheel bolts experience a lot of stress and temperature changes that may weaken them over time. The chance of them breaking is likely slim but why take the chance.

You can reuse the bolts. I have been reusing old flywheel and flexplate bolts for years. I have never personally seen a broken flywheel bolt on a stock engine and i have worked on a lot of engines over the years.
I have seen loose flywheel bolts. Whatever bolts you use make sure you put thread locker on them. Its way too much fun pulling an engine or tranny just to tighten six bolts.
