    I have a space thats aprox 25.5 x 16.5 for the tank. I'm told by MTS that the 15 gal polyethylene tank is 23 x 16 x 13.

I was wondering, if I have a 2 inch body lift if i could fit the 21 gallon tank thats 23 x 16 x15with out having to get the conversion kit for the skid plate and keep the 15 gallon tanks additional 2 inch clearance.

In theory its seems like it should work. What say you?

Jamie - I have several 'stock' tanks you could have to try sizing thing if needed. Unfortunatly, I have to leave in the AM for Louisville for work. We could work out getting you something this weekend if you want.
Just to clarify - these are broken tanks that may help you figure out if the other will fit.

If you want you can stop by and take a look at my 69, the tub is bolted back down but I do have a few pics of how it ended up installed on mine. I had to replace the underseat tank.

I've seen that done on a Wagoneer with a body lift. Helped to fit a really big tank without hanging down too much. Should be fine as long as the tank doesn't rub against the body.

With the body mounted back on and the 15 gallon tank in mine there was still about an 1" clearance above the tank to bottom of body tub, Plus it passed a Warloch inspection for clearance of the rear diff. (someone learned a hard lesson there)
