were to start

    my jeep has a new wiring harness and a new ignition switch. it was running fine this morning then just shut down. if i jump the start solenoid for the power side to the ingnition side it will run it will also start if i keep the starter engaged. dose any one know were to start or had this problem before

    A couple of possibilities.

    First, the ignition control unit for these Jeeps often fails by just stopping. When the engine cools off, it often recovers on its own. Are you sure that you really need to junp the solenoid to get it to start?

    Second, you say you replaced the wiring harness; with an aftermarket harness? If you hadn't just replaced the ignition switch, I would say that the ignition switch was defective. Does your harness have a fuse in the ignition circuit?
