Mine can usually be found under a ford. :D

I'm going to mount it to the rear bumper on mine.

I dont have a pic to share but have some thoughts to share on the idea.

I think center of gravity should have more attention paid to it, on our jeeps, than seems to be common.

Like spare tires. High lifts are heavy.

That said I think they should be mounted low.

Bumper mount seems like a good place to get it all bent up.

I thought about under the rocker panel by the frame with a skid plate but you cant get to it when you need it there.

Best spot I have seen is under the front of your seat behind your feet.
Low and easy to get to.

Best spot I have comeup with.

Across the front bumper with custom mounts (sort of like the all thread ones, seen in Billys search thread custom) It will look good, and there's enough stuff in front of it to not get it bent. Will look like this when done but hopefully mounted R)

Jim's got his mounted on the front bumper, using the $25 high lift brackets. Mine's going in the same place, but because I have an upright style winch, I need to make some spacers.

I like the mounts, used them on dad's bed rails in his truck for his jack, work nice, but on my Jeep I got more, and they're just too wide, tall and plain old ugly. I think my design will work to my fancy :)

If I ever get my cage put in ( ) the spreader bar behind the front seats has two prongs to mount it on.

Mine sits on a step bolted to the crossmember, and is then bolted to a bracket on the back of the body, with a chain and lock also.

Mine is temporary till I get my bumper built. It's mounted in front
of the tail gate from wheel well to wheel well. Made a couple of
    brackets, bolts and a lock.

I'm putting mine on the back of the swing out tire carrier, below and in front of the spare. I'm hoping to get to that this weekend. At one time I was going to mount it on the front of the swing out but some idiot didn't leave enough space between the tail gate and the swing out to do that. :smash:

Sometimes the design and built concept isn't what it's cracked up to be. R)

I made mine out of some angle iron and bolts I had laying around. I butt welded the angle to the bumper, drilled a hole in the angle, and put a bolt thru the hole and welded to the angle.

I have to use a wrench to remove the hi lift, but so would someone else.

I ended up bolting a square tube to the rear bumper. I keep the jack tower and handle inside of it. Made some covers that are held on with a bolt with a knurled handle so they can be remove without tools. The rest of the jack is in the under seat tool box. I've got quick release pins to put the pcs together.

Works good but there is always the risk that I'll get stuck while sunk too deep in the mud to pull it out either side but I always carry a shovel.

Ideally I would also make another mount to put it on the front bumper so it's more readily available during a trail ride.

Another possible spot is mounted on the radiator support rods right next to the firewall.

Here is what I did many years ago. It's not hard to get out, it can't be seen and it's out of the way. I have the climbing pin mechanism in the tool box in a plastic bag. I have a shovel on front of the radiator that doubles as the jack handle.
