I am going to replace the wheels on my 74 cj5. I want to keep the stock look for the rims, and run a good set up AT/MT tires. I read the threads about brake upgrades, and plan on this in the future. So I need to go with a larger rim, if I am understanding this correctly (not enough coffee yet).

I like the Stockton rims (will be talking to them later for sizes and prices), but also like the Kelsey Hayes rims. I can't decide which is a better rim. Any suggestions so I don't buy the wrong rim now and have problems when I upgrade my "no power brakes" later?R)

The Kelsey Hayes rims shown on the thread about rims and brakes. Must be yours huh? The rims I currently have are new; may blast, paint, and supply new tires. I will read thru it again.R)

The tech article on the home page; wheel fitment and brake info. It appears I have 10" or 11" brakes; based on the pics from the tech article. Still may go back to stock wheels and tires. Kaiser Willys is offering a pretty good deal; haven't found a better price yet.R)

I was wrong; 11" brakes. Not good for a stock/original rim... if you can find it for a 74. Think I'll keep em, blast, paint em black, and visit my local tire shop. That way I'll know what I'm getting.R)
