I think it was built for export for a couple of reasons:
    1. The history w/ Mr. Tupper. The plaque on the dashboard leads me to believe this was some sort of corporate gift and according to what Boyink found he did a lot of work in South America.
    2. I read somewhere that the ventilating windshield was not an option on domestic CJ5s for 1965.
    3. There is a plaque on the firewall below the VIN that is in Spanish. I will take a picture of this and post it.

Here is a pic of the tag on the fire wall underneath the VIN. It appears to be a manufacturer's identification.

I saw that earlier, still confused as to where you got the name though?

It must be a senior moment.

There was a pic of the badge in the first post. I hope to get some history on the Jeep soon. I am in the process of requesting a title from the Commonwealth of Mass. and they are being a little picky. The Jeep was donated to a not-for-profit farm by the family of the original owner. The farm manager is going to try and get me in touch with them so I can give a detailed history to the Mass. title reviewer.

    Sparky,

Not you, I didn't see any picts until the read CJ6. The only picts I saw of the one discussed here are the second few picts.

Thought it might be a software picture lookie viewer thingie problem. Of course, that is my professional opinion.

Great looking project. And the red CJ6 is cool.........
