Hey Earl - welcome to ECJ5!

Just a comment - it'd be better if you discuss your questions on the forum, rather than by phone or email. That way everybody gets the benefit of the answers, and the answers will go into a searchable database that you and others can refer to.

Don't get me wrong - we welcome your questions - the gang here are all fanatics about the CJ-5!

There's lots of info on the technical pages that can help fill in some background about your Jeep - take a look.

    best regards Tim

    Welcome from Minnesota Earl.

You have a Canadian built CJ5 built May of 1967. Lots of information in the VIN thread. R)

PS. We love pictures, got any?

There's a document on decoding VINs, first post in that thread has the link. It has a plethora of other information in it as well. I suggest reading it.

The VIN thread contains a link to click for a PDF document that contains information about VINs, paint and trim codes. It's in the first post where it says "HERE". Here's a direct link to the document:

    http://www.earlycj5.com/zoomer/Vehicle_Indentification.pdf

I don't know the exact number built (US and Canada) for 1967, but it's probably about 20,000. In general they don't seem to have a lot of collector value unless it's a really nice original example. Value depends greatly on location and condition. There's a sticky thread about "Want to know the value of your Jeep?" here:

You can still read it though. I'm not sure why it being closed is an issue. It's only there to serve as a resource for folks to read, not for discussion.
