I have seen several flat fenders that have had the L134 replaced with a F134 and you see these UGLY hood modifications is there any carb that a guy can use in this situation to aviod altering the hood?

with a body lift though you would have to alter the pedal holes at the very least, maybe some column stuff.

depends how much you lift. Mine is a 2 inch BL so i had to alter floors. Didnt care much, my floor is all patchwork anyway.
My guess is if you're throwing an F-head in a low hood flattie, you arent too concerned about keeping it original anyway.

The previous owner installed an F-head in my 47 CJ2A. It has a Holley carb for a Ford Falcon (don't remember what year, but I'm thinking it's for a '61 or a '64 Falcon). The PO also used PVC pipe from Home Depot to come up with a custom air intake to make sure it cleared the hood, and used a 1.5" custom body lift.

    Hope this helps.
