ok my jeep has power steering, with a GM box, the pittman arm is right in the middle, 2and a half turns both ways, but when i hook up the drag link to it, the right side will go 3 turns and the left will only go 1 and a half to 2. is my drag link to short/long? thats the only thing i can figure. there are no steering stops or anything that would limit it.

without seeing your setup in person, it would sound to me like the draglink is giving you issues. Does your pitman arm have indexing splines? If not, try adjusting it. Set your wheels straight ahead, pull the pitman arm off the steering box and then attach it to your draglink. Make sure your steering wheel is centered lock to lock, and then put the pitman arm back on the gearbox.

yep i has index splines, i had the wheels set up straight. pulled the arm off, counted the total number of turns, divided by 2 and thats where a put it at, right in the middle. and the indexing splines lined up and everything. i dont know what it could be, im guessing its because the draglink is too short/long

This sounds familiar. A week ago I turned the adjustment on my drag link to make my steering wheel straight. Yesterday I took a drive and found that I could turn really sharp to the right but could barely turn to the left. Duh!

Yesterday I jacked up the front and adjusted the drag link so it's even both ways. Then I just unbolted the steering wheel and rotated it to near center. Then slightly adjusted the drag link to fully center the steering wheel.

I would say your drag link needs adjusting.
