Well I got my brake problem somewhat solved, just running off the stock setup right now, but they work. So I decided to take it for a short spin. Here are a few of my first impressions.
    1) Either I need more leg room or My legs need to get shorter
    2) need shocks, one of those things I decided could wait, maybe not for long
3)now I really know what they mean by "Odd Fire" whew it seems almost silly.
    4)More leg room
5)Need to do something with the throttle pedal, probably not stock, but the peddle kept flipping back off the linkage, not good.
6)Did I say more leg room.
7)Need to solve the charging system, or figure out what is going on there.

But on a side note, for the most part the brakes felt good, tranny shifted good, steering felt pretty good, and I am sure it looked really cool rolling down the alley, with that odd fire thump echoing off the houses. Felt pretty good driving it a few blocks up the alley and back, the first time it has moved under its own power in probably two years. Bob

It had been a long time since I'd sat in a CJ, and I thought my bigger belly (30 years on) wouldn't fit. Nope, I'm fine ... probably because my legs are short (29 inseam pants).

I think if I can solve the gas peddle issue I will just deal with the leg room issue. I don't want to notch the wheel well, but will if I have to. Just another week end project:) It has come a long ways since I got it in boxes a few months ago, Memorial Day week end to be exact.

No LR is what turned me down from every CJ 5 I drove... That and the wheel in the one I wanted was in my thighs (34x34 pants...) But your's seems to have adiquate room. Wheel house nothc may help and also be safer too, if you roll or plop it might hurt... Not as bad with more room.

I hear you on the leg room; being 6'4" my knees were sticking out the doors. I cut out the middle of the seat frame and welded in some tubing for some Bestop early style seats that are further back than normal. Didn't notch the wheel wells but have enough room with the back of the seat sitting up against the wheel well.

Cool JEEP. I here all of you on legroom....I am 6' 5" but I do good enough because the PO installed a tilt steering wheel (knees don't hit anymore) and I can tilt my seat back a bit.(head does not hit the full roll cage) I know this does not really assist with legroom (it is all in the mind R)) but it makes me fit so I can't complain.
