I'm converting my 67 to discs all around. On the front passenger side the caliper will hit the snubber bracket during a right turn, severely limiting the turning radius. It hits right where the banjo bolt should be mounted. Below is a picture of the snubber.

Can I cut this off? Can I replace it with something? Rotate the calipers farther down (I was under the impression I wanted them pointing straight back)?

    Thanks.

Are you hitting the bumpstop or the bracket? I didn't run into that problem when I did mine, but I got rid of the bumpstop too. I'm replacing mine w/ axle mounted bumpstops and I'll probably cut the bracket off.:v6:

I'm hitting the bracket. There is a bumpstop mounted to the frame directly above the axle already. Looks like I'll break out the Sawzall.

Interesting, I had thought about building an estension for that bumpstop, I believe it is only there to limit axle wrap and try to keep the driveshaft out of the starter. I would think it should not be necessary with any lift spring. Sounds like it will have to go.

I had to cut mine off too. I frame mounted a bump stop.
