My passenger side wiper linkage is worn out. Does anyone have the length of that arm (might as well get the driver side too)? My Jeep is a '66 but it has the 1971 windshield frame.

I have a 70, if that is the same, I can try to dig out the linkage and measure it for you tonight.

Nobody has information regarding this wiper setup? Should I just ditch what I have and go for the older (top of windshield) style of wipers? I say that because it seems those are still available.

The '71 windshield should be the same as the '72-75, with the front-mounted motor can at the bottom. There was a recent discussion here: http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45332

If you search the intermediates forum, you'll probably find more.

<edit> Also, you may be able to rebuild the linkage with new bushings. Places like MSC and Small Parts Inc. sell stock bronze bushings that could likely be adapted to this purpose.

I'm trying to get my '66 back into working order.
Does anybody know where to get a complete high wiper set up?
    Links, bushings, etc
    Thanks,
    Lee

No linkage on the top mounted wipers. Just individual motors.

    DUH! *slaps forehead*
I guess if I bothered to open my service manual before shooting my mouth off I wouldn't sound so stupid.

    Thanks

I fixed my wiper linkage. I had a problem with the passenger side pivot, it was loose and would roll over and slam the wiper against the hood. As far as I can tell, no one makes this part.

Last night I pulled it out and cut the rivet out to remove the pivot from the arm. I mulled over what to do and ended up using a 1/4" bolt it place of the rivet. I had to drill out the brass bushing so the bolt would fit (same for the pivot). I made sure it rotated correctly and then welded the bolt and nut to the linkage arm. It is nice and snug and it works. Sorry, no pics to share but it is a straight forward repair.

I have realized owning an older Jeep means you have to become your own parts warehouse.
