I've done a search, just want to make sure I've got it right before wiring.
    duel top mount motors...12v....3 connections...-,+,S
    - is ground,+ is 12v hot, S to a switch..2 pole...2nd leg to ground
sound right? these can be wired one to another? what source would be best for 12v hot? I know this is simple for most of you, just wanna make sure I don't fry somthin:)
    Thanks, Jim S.

Sounds right except for the switch....if I read you right. Don't go to ground with the switch.:? Or am I misunderstanding what your'e saying? Also for simplicity, wire each motor individually.

OK so if the "S" leg from the motors goes to one leg of the switch then the other leg of the switch is 12v hot?

Yes, run a fused hot wire to one side of the switch then from the other side of the switch to the wiper motor.

Pretty sure with the connections you listed these are self-parking wipers?

If so they need a always-hot 12v source running to the + connection, and the switched connection running to the "S". You turn the switch off, and they use the + connection for power long enough to find the park position.

So for the "S" connection find a 12V source that turns on and off with your ignition. Run from it, to a fuse, to one side of the switch, then from the other side of the switch to the "S" connection.

For the "+" connection find an always-hot 12v source, run from it to a fuse to the + connection.

    Hi,

Just a quick input on piggy-backing the self-parking wipers. If you wire from one wiper to the other you will find that since the two wipers run at slightly different speeds, and that both wipers have to be in alignment when you turn them off to "park'em", you end up with the wipers running in fits and starts after you switch them off, until they are both back in alignment.

The other comment is to make sure you have adequate isloation between the wiper mounting and the window frame. Even though the wiper kit comes with the rubber grommet, carefull alignment in the hole is important. I found that the wiper still made contact with the frame and grounded out the first time installing.

    Good luck!

   whoa! so your saying that mounting can't touch at all?
I cut down the unit and used a large poly insert nut to space on the inside, then a small bolt/nut on the housing to keep it in place. So I need to re-think the mounting all together
Sure wish this kit had come w/ instructions:mad:

Do you need a switch in addition to the one on the motor, or is this just to get them both on one?

Oh...*that* motor. No - you don't need another switch.

I wish you'dve asked about those cheap pieces of (*&*(& though...hope you get more than the 6 weeks life I got under *very* light usage.

IMHO those are one of the worst rip-off parts the Jeep aftermaket suppliers sell. They don't fit right (shaft is too long), the blades are so chinsy they hardly work and I could never get it to park consistenly in the same place.

I'dve sent them back except for the fact that I pulled it apart and cut the shaft down to get it to fit right.

    Soooooooo...wired according to plan
on/off at the motor no problem...but once on no change via the switch installed, and runs with keys on or off.
to rehearse...- to ground,+ to constant 12v hot, "S" to one leg of switch other leg of switch to "on" side of ign.
So what am I messin up?....any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure, but try disconnecting the + wire from the motor. Try it with just the negative and the wire to the switch. If that doesn't work connect the + and disconnect the switch wire.

As previously stated the "switch" wire should be the one you don't need.

Ya know it struck me I never tried the switch w/ the motors in the off position...I'll try tomorrow before I leave for work
If I don't need the switch wire how would I wire it to a switch?
    Thanks for the input Glenn...

The picture you posted shows the switch on the motor already so you don't need another switch. I assumed yours didn't have a switch. I've got 2 types at home, 2 wire with switch like yours, and 3 wire without switch. I'll try to remember to see how they're marked later.
