I've been running unleaded gas since I bought my Jeep in 2004. We've only put about 1500 miles on it since then but I'm not going to worry about it.

If the head in your Jeep has had a valve job since the demise of leaded gas, hardened seats were probably installed. No problem. If it hasn't, the worst that can happen is that a valve job is in your future.

Been running unleaded gas in a '44 ever since they stopped selling "regular". Haven't had a problem.

Add some kind of lead replacement unless you know its got hardened seats. You will burn a valve in a F head, sooner or later.

I run some stuff by CD2 that treats about 300 gallons in a bottle. Not real expensive either! Walmart stuff

    Got 2 '67s that I drive alot!

I was told to keep the RPMs down whenever possible. And no highway driving, unless of course you have an overdrive, but it is the high RPMs that over heat the exhaust valves. So I drive mine, really easy. I am hoping this will put off the need for a valve job.

I ran unleaded in a 425 in a '66 olds till she threw the harmonic balancer at 360000 miles. Only thing ever replaced in that engine was the head gaskets, when she blew through between #4 and #6. Cast iron stands up to a lot more than the new fangled aluminum will.
Besides, who among us has even seen regular in the last 20 years, with out going to Mexico? And if you run that, you don't pass emissions here.
    :) :coffee:
