    Hi all

Like an idiot I lost the measurement of both of my driveshafts that I took on the jeep before my tranny swap. Now I have them on the table, waiting to be lenghtenend (sp?) and shortened (sp?). My question is :

How long of spline should I see on a drive shaft while the jeep is at rest ?

    I have a T-18A tranny, no lift.

I need your input quick, I leave for a 3 weeks stay in Malaysia for work and my dad will finish the jeep while i'm gone, and I leave Friday

Thanks to all for your usual help

    Bob,
I don't think you want to see any of the slip splines while the Jeep is at rest. All the spline section should be completely in the slip yoke end probably an inch or so from bottoming out in the slip yoke. Hope this answers your ?. Have fun in Malaysia!

Most stock driveshafts only have 3" of slip in them. So normally if you leave 1" of compression and 2" of droop they will be fine.

Thanks to all, I'll tell my dad this, and he is taking care of the jeep while I'm gone...
