I believe the 3800 and the 225/231 engines are completely different. Might work but I think the differences are too great. Hopefully a couple of the other knowledgeable folks here will chime in on this one.

Welcome from VB, should you move ahead with your plans, that four barrel and manifold would be a nice addition to the classified section:)

Good point. I don't know how much changed with the 3800, as I recall though Boyink speculated at one time it was possible to swap stuff around in order to get FI but it was beyond his capabilities.

What I was told was that the main differences were in the block, but that the intakes would interchange -- essentially the bottom half of the motor would be a RWD version while the top half would be from the FWD version.

Again - all conjecture and speculation, but it was from input from folks on the Buick GN / T-Type discussion list.

I would call T-A Performance and ask them. They are the Buick guro's.The book V-6 Performance by Pat Ganahl is a good referance and details the changes made in the buick block over several years.there was a manifold available for a blower, but don't know if it is still around.good luck

I dont know if this thread is still in need of discussion, But I know that the 3800 supercharged parts from the 91-95 years will fit on the dauntless, the cooling ports on the heads are mildly different just like any of the 3.8 heads but the machining is doable. The only real problem is that the supercharger snout will not clear the stock and HEI distributors. I am trying to run this same setup and I am using the megasquirt with spark and two edis-6 ignition controllers to run coil-packs (distributorless). Email if you have any questions.

The series II 3800 will NOT fit the dauntless
