seat foam & covers

    any body sell the foam rubber for a 1970 cj5 and i am sure someone has the covers,thanx in advance,and i want something that is made as well as the original,or better

    There's a military surplus place in Richmond - Hull Street Outlet. They sell foam rubber and I'd planned on going there when I'm ready. Perhaps Jeff can chime in here.

    IMHO you will be way ahead taking them to a GOOD local shop. The picture shows my 3 year adventure in getting mine done. It cost me $300+ for these the actual cost was much higher after getting screwed on E-bay covers.

    thanx guys will check out northstar,and nice lookin seats mike,may have them covered localy,but i have been screwed a couple times by the local guys saying they can fix the foam,six months down the road the covers look fine but there is a sunk in place where they tried to repair the foam

    Gotta agree with Ppilotmike. A local shop quoted me $300 to reupholster with new pads and all. That's ahead of the game as far as new seats with shipping.

    I really wanted to keep my flip and fold on the passenger side so I went the reupolstery route. I got the run around from the first guy I took it too so I can understand that. In retrospect I should have seen there was going to be problems with the first guy. At least its over now, for me.
