WHat is the best way to set the toe in. Here what I did but it is not correct. I used a string from back to front. Set the front right tire that the steering wheel is straight and the stiring is equal space on the front and rear of the front tire. Took the string on the other side and did the same while the steering wheel is held. Turn both wheels in a little so I had about 1/4" toe in. Got on the road and my wheel was off and it drives all over the place. I do have the steering stabilzer shock off.

How does everyone else set theirs? Will the steering shock help the bumb steer?

Set the front axle on jack stands.
Spin the tire and use a pen to scribe a line around the tire(use a steady rest).
Do the other tire the same way.
Compare the measurement between the lines on the front and back side of the tires.
Front should be 1/8" or so narrower than back.

It is a two person job, I jack up the front end, put a jackstand in front of the tire to rest my screwdriver on and have someone spin the tire while I scribe the tire with my screwdriver, if the tire is really clean, then you can lightly spray some paint on the tire while spinning it, gives you an better place to scribe your line, then let the jeep back down and measure as stated above, from one tire to the other tire front, and the same on the rear of the tires. This method gets you pretty darn close.
I think the only way to help bump steer would be to keep your tie rod and drag link paralell to each other, like with a drop pitman arm. I don't think the steering shock will help much.
