Hey guys I finally got my distributor and module back from Pertronix for the 134. It started right up this time!! When I hooked up the timing light I'm about a quarter inch off the timing mark and out of adjustment. Can I just pull the dist and move the body one tooth counter clockwise to get in the adjustment range?

I didn't think the F-head had multiple "teeth" I thought it was just a slot when I've worked on them?????

I thought you just rotated the distributor to time it.

Well now that you mention it there is no gear on the dist it's on the pump. Maybe I'll just have to lengthen the adjustment slot on the mount?

I don't remember if the block side is slotted or not, I'll check that . Did a search and I'm prolly going to have to reset the pump if I can't find a little more adjustment.

I understand the problem cause I had the same thing even with the 2 slots.....The wire on the dist is allmost too short.

Thanks guys. I filed -both- slots in the plate and got all I needed. :) Didn't want to move the pump in case I ever have to go back to points.

I'm not sure I do, but until I have to do it, I won't worry about it, and you all will get a message asking for help and pictures.
