Yep. Plus it's what Jiffy Lube stuck in my other "5" on its last oil change. I'm just glad no one here suggested using Mobil 1 in the F-head. :D

I'm pretty sure its only available in 15W40, unless you get the synthetic.

I've also heard the stories about Pennzoil and Quaker State, definitely had me wondering. Last year I switched to the Rotella based on the same factors mentioned. They were discussed on a Dodge Power Wagon board. I was using 10/30, and was torn between the quicker initial flow of the lighter oil and the supposed impact resistance of the Rotella. I guess time will tell, so far I'm happy with the Rotella.

Ok, I'm curious... Other than the obvious ($5.99 per qt) what would running Mobil-1 do to my F-head. (I do run Mobil-1 in my Ford Focus which is the factory reccommendation) Do synthetics react bad with 50 year old engines? Again, I'm just curious. :)

i ran the mobil 1 in a 1969 jeepster with the 225 v6 just to try it.the only difference i noticed was before the changeover to mobil 1 it would burn a quart of oil every 700 to 800 miles. after the change over it would go to around 1100 to 1200 miles befoe needing a quart. but this did not justify the differece in cost between the two different types of oils.
