I just recently acquired a heater control panel to "restore." Fortunately this one came with the cable for the heat control knob. However, it also has a bracket on top of the assembly.

Question: Is the bracket original to the assy or just a PO add on? I have gone through about four different asemblies without seeing this bracket. It appears the bracket would allow the heater control to sit a bit further back under the dash, making it kinda inset.

Here's what you should have (w/ new switch from jeeper preacher). If the dash is original, there will be matching holes right over the shifters.

Well, you have to ask yourself 'Which way would I rather go?" and then go with the answer you come up with.:) :coffee:
