If the bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5 like it says...

Biggest issue usually is the inner hub diameter on the wheel...

    My thought, too.
From the picture on the site, they look like they do. Guess I'll stop one on the street and check it out.:) :coffee:

I had some 'early 70s vintage KH 8" wheels with 31x10.50s on them. Sold them to a guy with a Sami... the KH wheels wouldn't clear the Sami's front disc calipers...
Conversely, I'd think that the Sami wheels would probably clear CJ disc calipers... but still not sure about the center opening.

I had Sami wheels on my 59 w/ 9"drums w/out any problem. I really liked the look of them too. Traded them to a member here for larger wheels

OK, stretching here, but I remember discussions and photos of wheels from some kind of early Japanese (Suzuki?) "Jeep clone" that were nearly identical to early CJ5 wheels, except they had an extra "6th hole" in the hub, between two lug holes.

Back in 1970 or 71 Suzuki put out a little four-wheel drive jeep clone.

looked very simular to my old 2a only smaller. Don't remember what they were called, and only remember that much 'cause a kid I knew back then traded his jeep for it new.

It was a pretty decent off road vehicle, too.
They made 'em about 6 years then quit, then started making them again about 89 or thereabouts. Looked exactly the same as the older ones.:coffee:

Seems like they were FJ-somethings....I'm sure someone else will pop on that knows more about them. I tried a search but didn't find anything.

Samurai wheels will fit fine. i have my old CJ steelies on the sami now :) But the only issue is the back spacing is differnt, to keep the wheels under the samurai so it may really keep it tucked in on the jeep.

well, I really don't care for the 10 in wide wheels that are one the beastie right now. :) The Samurai wheels are the closest to stock cj's I've seen that are readily available. Discount Tires carries them for 36 a piece for the white ones.:coffee:

I have used Sami wheel several times. I have a set on my 58 right now with a set of roll around tires in them just so I can move it around to work on it.
LJ30 - LJ80 I read someplace once LJ stood for "light Jeep"

I used my wheels that I had and tires from my Jeep on my Samuria when I had them.
The stock sami wheel(15x5.5) works really well on a flat fender and use a narrow tubless tires:beer:ymmv

They were called LJ's (Little Jeep maybe?)

I almost bought one I happened to run on to, but I already had too many projects and too little time.

Quick wheel question. Took my stock 16" rims to sand blaster, and found out one is 1/2" wider then the other three. Will this make much diff? They all look the same, one just 6" and the others ar 5.5:mad:
