Greetings from snowy Indiana. Would just like to kick this out for discussion---I am thinking about putting an old speaker magnet in the bottom of the oil pan before I put my little F-head back in service. Ive seen this done in the past; any thoughts??? thanks,MR HANEY

If it were me, I'd find an old computer hard drive, break it apart and use one of the magnets inside. They ars smaller and much more powerful than a speaker magnet. I use two of them to hold the handle to the side of the small floor jack I take to junkyards. Also, they're excellent to hold patch pieces in place when welding on sheet metal. Put several of them across the gap between the patch and the panel and they'll hold it in place with perfect alignment for tacking in place before butt welding. JMO.

2x on the hard drive magnets I have 6 of them ready to go into my jeep one in each pumpkin one in the transfercase one in the transmission and 2 in the oil pan. I clean them out every 10k miles , iv been thinking about getting the clear gearz diff covers so i can keep an eye on my fluids, and i hear they will have clear valve covers soon hopefully.

    good luck,

    josh
