Rear pinion torque problem

    The FSM shows one for the tapered axle which I have but does not show one for the flanged axle?????????. Where did you get your seal. I think Napa sold me the wrong one part # 15788.

    Thats the one #15788 dana 44 46-73:)
    Just backwards and shouldnt be gasket behind...

    Does the seal go in with the part # facing outward and no gasket???????

    There should be a small spring going around the lip of the oil seal. This spring should always go to the 'fluid' side of the shaft. I have never had a gasket on any of my diffs.

    Thanks to all that posted, it think this info will solve my problem minus a seal.
